Thirty was a big number. She was looking forward to and dreading the day in equal measure. Shed never imagined shed have to face it but now that it was staring her in the face, she knew she couldnt escape it. Her sisters had insisted on a big party to celebrate this milestone but her heart wanted different. She followed it to the outskirts of the city, where the concrete turned to cobblestone and then packed earth, and the grass grew wild and free. Stopping by the stream, she lay down on the grass and let her body soak in the warmth of the winter sun. She would exit her 20s by herself, her lips stained with the sweet juice of berries and nostalgia. This was the slice of heaven that was all her own, a precious memory that she would carry with her, long after the day had ended.

Our ˜made in heaven mul cotton is also known as mul mul in West Bengal. The fabric is buttery soft and has a delicate beauty. Its weave is very fine and this lends a very fluid texture to the fabric, which makes draping it a breeze. It truly is like a hug that wraps you in its love. The addition of ruffles adds a playful touch to the saree, while also adding a statement detail. The rich colour palette is accentuated by the hand-embroidered chumkis (sequins), which makes this saree the perfect addition to your festive wardrobe.

I ordered this saree from NZ and it was delivered pretty quickly. The colour as you see is just as seen on the website and I am and will forever be in love with this saree. I bought it a few months ago but wanted to wear for a special occasion which I found at Durgapujo this year. The saree is light, easy to wear and drapes beautifully! I could have worn it all day and not felt it. 100% recommend!
