It was a sultry evening. The air was heavy with the scent of trepidation. These were the final few days of her singlehood, her freedom as she had joked with her friends, more than once. But now that the house was decorated, and the guests on their way for the first cocktail party of the many that would follow, it began to sink in. She was marrying the love of her life, but she worried if she would lose herself in the process. Or perhaps she would be transformed into another version of herself. What would this new her want? What would she prioritise? She did not know yet. All she could do was to live in this moment and enjoy every part of the process. She picked up a lone hibiscus from the vase before her and walked towards the dancefloor, where the party was just getting started. This was the beginning of the rest of her life. And she would be its auteur.

Our ˜made in heaven mul cotton is also known as mul mul in West Bengal. The fabric is buttery soft and has a delicate beauty. Its weave is very fine and this lends a very fluid texture to the fabric, which makes draping it a breeze. It truly is like a hug that wraps you in its love. The addition of ruffles adds a playful touch to the saree, while also adding a statement detail. The rich colour palette is accentuated by the hand-embroidered chumkis (sequins), which makes this saree the perfect addition to your festive wardrobe.
