Perhaps it was the years of torment or the snide remarks from her relatives - whatever her driving force, it was so strong that it erupted into the most feisty outburst anyone had ever witnessed. She aggressively marched out of the room, with one hand desperately freeing her ponytail while the other wiped away the last remnants of the makeup her family had insisted she wear. She returned half an hour later wearing the most striking outfit with bright prints and colours that her family would never approve of. Her hair was in its natural curly state and her head was held high. Jaws dropped, harsh words were exchanged and for some dramatic elders, tears followed. But she couldnt care less and demanded acceptance from those who claimed to love her.
