Kala cotton is an indigenous strain of cotton that is native to the Kutch area of Gujrat. While the plant is hardy and resilient even in adverse climatic conditions, the fabric produced from it offers excellent durability, quality and comfort. What makes kala cotton so special is the way in which it is grown “ the crop is completely rain fed, and no chemical fertilizers are used in its cultivation. This makes kala cotton a sustainable textile choice.
