With her grannys words ringing in her ears, a smile came over her face. In that moment, her worries about money and security faded away. As she sat at the potters wheel, she could almost feel her grandmother sitting behind a tiny version of her, carefully guiding her hands. Once the diyas were ready, she set out to bake them in the kiln, and marvelled as they look on a lovely rust hue. She then uttered a prayer for her grandmother, hoping the cosmos would conspire to raise her fortunes during the festival of lights.
