Everybody everywhere prepared for Durgas arrival as if she was their dearest daughter. But who was her favourite?

It is Saraswati, Maa Durgas wise daughter. She waits to catch a glimpse of Saraswati in different pandals; they play a strange kind of hide and seek. The goddess is like a cousin with only aspirational qualities and she wants to be like her. She wishes for elegance, poise, knowledge and intellect. But for now, she just wants to seek those qualities.

This saree has been handwoven by a master weaver in the Mashru tradition. The Mashru weave is said to have originated in West Asia, in the 19th Century. The fabric is woven with a silk weft and a fine cotton warp. It thus combines the ageless comfort of cotton and the timeless aesthetic of silk, elevated by the presence of gold and silver zari.
